Brickell Heights’ Interiors Sneak Peeks
Last Wednesday, February 26, sneak peeks were released of the interiors of the 690-unit luxury condominium tower-to-be, Brickell Heights. The renderings were conceptualized by the Rockwell Group, and were released in honor of David Rockwell’s success in designing the greenroom for the Academy Awards show which took place this past weekend. When it comes to Brickell Height’s renderings, Rockwell said, “For Brickell Heights, we were inspired by the elegant simplicity and rich, evocative material palette of mid-century design. The interiors will reinterpret the glamour of the art, design and culture of that era, but with a contemporary twist.”

Foreign Buyers Boost Miami Real Estate Market
In the past year, the Miami real estate market has been growing hot – real hot. Condo towers are going up left and right, and there is ample demand to meet the supply. The investors are not coming from within the country, but rather they are flocking from all over the world – particularly South America.  Miami has become the capital for Latin America and as many are purchasing luxury condos which are relatively inexpensive when compared to high end housing in their countries. In 2012, the average pricing per square foot in Downtown Miami was $501, whereas in the top notch areas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a square foot was valued between $2000 and $3000. In 2012, 35 percent of all foreign real estate buyers in Florida came from South and Central America.

SLS Brickell Breaks Ground Today! Say Good Bye to the Giant Duck.
Everyone who lives, works, or visits Brickell have become all to familiar with the giant duck perched at the corner of South Miami Ave and Coral Way (1300 South Miami Ave to be exact).  Well the duck has been shipped off and has found a new home.  SLS Brickell officially broke ground today and I have to say that I am very excited to see this project built.
