Solitair Brickell Broke Ground Today!
Earlier today, one of Brickell’s most anticipated pre-construction projects, Solitair Brickell, broke ground. The condo tower, which is scheduled to open in late 2017, will stand at 50 stories tall, house its tenants across 438 luxurious units, offer 440 parking spaces, and host 7,469 square feet of ground retail. Situated at 86 SW 8 Street, between the massive Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village, Solitair Brickell will be located at a very central spot. Solitair residents will be also be provided with a covered walkway to the metro, providing an unparalleled convenience to shopping, dining, and entertainment, especially once the surrounding projects are completed.

Brickell City Centre: Three Years Into Construction
Set for completion in 2018, the construction of the behemoth project Brickell City Center is ongoing. Two of the many features of the development, condo towers Rise and Reach, will have topped off by the end of this year, while the main frame of the shopping center is already in place. To document the progress, aerial photography company N25 flew a drone over the project site, capturing the footage in the video below. Brickell City Centre, which is already over 75 percent complete, has come a long way since construction began way back in 2012.

Biscayne Line – Miami’s Future Baywalk
In 1979, a law was instituted that required every new waterfront development to reserve 20 feet of land, starting at the shoreline and stretching inland, for public access. Here we are in 2015, thirty-six years after the passing of this law, and despite having miles and miles of bay shoreline, Miami still has a noticeable shortage of public waterfront parks. Hopefully, this all might change in the near future, with the possible coming of Biscayne Line.

As I have commented about in previous posts, Brickell, or “Manhattan of the South” as it is referred to by some, has developed into the place to be in in the Miami-Dade County. As more and more people desire to live in this popping district, condominium towers keep shooting up left and right to meet demand. Brickell already has over 30 luxury apartment buildings alone, and over the course of the next few years we will easily see at least 15 new towers being built. Not only are apartment buildings decorating the skyline, but new commercial centers are popping up to make sure there’s enough amusement to go around for everyone.
